...that was a line from the movie! Swear, as in meron dun! Ang galing noh???
I love Superman!!! Both of them, I mean Superman (the comic book hero) and Brandon Routh (yung super-gwapong actor sa movie). I watched it yesterday night jan sa Promenade, and it was so great!!!
I had no idea that the whole Superman story was so deep...I mean, my sister just told me about a thing they studied in college, "The Myth of Superman" written by some philosopher named Umberto Eco (ang cool ng name niya noh???). The whole movie was full of philosophical stuff, and it was from there that I realized na meron din siyang sort of Christian references, I mean, Jor-El (yung tatay ni Superman) said to him (Kal- El, otherwise known as Superman) something like, "... they (tayong human beings) only lack the light to show the way...for this reason, above all, I have sent you, my only son.." How coincidental noh? But I don't think it was intentional on Joe Siegel's (yung creator) part. I know a little bit about Superman kasi yung Chem teacher namin nung high school supergeeky bout it...(actually supergeek na siya even if you remove the Superman fan thing...)
Kahit na hindi ako fan nung comic books, I felt that this movie did justice to the whole Superman saga. The way he was depicted kasi, he was so...superhuman. Lalo na the way he moves and flies, sobrang fluid and smooth, and whenever he saves someone, or whenever he lifts something, it's so effortless. That's Superman for you. Of course, what's great about is that, despite his being a "superhuman", he has a weak side to him, making him human...so he's both "super" and "human"...making him "Superman"!!!
Si Brandon Routh, sooobrang galing niya as Clark/ Superman. Bukod sa pagiging cute, he was able to carry the role very well, considering na first movie niya ito...ang galing noh? Sobrang bagay sa kanya yung red cape, blue suit...and tights...favorite ko na siya!
...Panonoorin ko ulit to, swear! Sa mall of Asia, where it's IMAX. Excited na ko!
Anyway, this week nag ward kami, but this time we were the am group, so there were more things to do. I really, really enjoyed being a charge nurse, kasi you get to boss people around without having any guilty feeling whatsoever, hehe. It went well, buti na lang, and it was such a great feeling na all of the patients recognize you, even after tapos ka na being the charge nurse. I felt super happy kasi some of them remembered my name, and called me by my name, even if di ko sila masyado nakausap...yey! I'm liking this thing more and more...I had one patient, she was a cute kid, and she was with her mom, whom at first, was scary...you know yung typical nanay, but medyo conyo siya so it was harder. But then na kaya ko naman and I spoke straight english to her (!) and then, she sort of warmed up a bit. By the end of the shift, she was super nice to me na! Yey! Tapos hinanap pa raw niya ako when we left na, sabi nung charge nurse namin. Moments like these, no matter how rare, make up for the past screw-ups I've had sa ward. hehe.
...gabi na pala. I need to sleep na kasi maaga pa tomorrow. Sobrang nakakatamad pumasok lalo na pag lecture days..
